Problems in Data Maintenance at svt Prior to the Introduction of PIM
Before the PIM system was implemented, product data was scattered across multiple "islands," which made accessing and maintaining consistency difficult. The PIM was intended to serve as a central platform to store, manage, and deliver data in a standardized manner.

How Does svt Use ANTEROS?
Integration of ANTEROS into the System Architecture
svt uses ANTEROS as a central platform to manage and provide product data, involving multiple departments in a unified process. The article master data is transferred from the ERP system proAlpha in CSV format to ANTEROS, where it is enriched and maintained centrally.
Product data is distributed through various channels, including BMEcat export and ANTEROS.easycat for connection to InDesign for catalogs and brochures. ANTEROS.mp provides a media portal for internal and external users to access images and documents. ANTEROS.rest ensures the output of PIM data on the website, while ANTEROS.imex enables product data transfer to the product finder.
Extension of the Data Model
svt has added the object type "Systems" to the standard ANTEROS data model. This makes it possible to record complete fire protection systems with multiple products. The relationships between systems and products are automatically managed bidirectionally.
ANTEROS has also been expanded to include parameter groups, which allow for a clear structuring of the numerous parameters. They are divided into main categories such as product, system, ERP and marketing master data as well as subcategories for parameter values. Specific rights are defined via user groups to control who can maintain or view which parameters. For example, a marketing employee may only have access to marketing texts, while DOP data or document parameters cannot be edited.
Media Management and Download Portal
Images, documents and videos are managed in ANTEROS.mam and automatically provided in various formats. The ANTEROS.mp download portal supports fast and targeted searches, with internal users seeing more content than external partners.
Automated Generation of Data Sheets
ANTEROS.print automatically generates DOP datasheets and product datasheets, ensuring a consistent and professional presentation of product information. DOP stands for Declaration of Performance and is a commitment of the manufacturer to the performance of the product. The content of the DOP is defined on the basis of the key product characteristics specified in the EN standard. In the data maintenance, svt has a separate tab for the relevant parameters. In addition, the product data sheets summarize all products of a product series, with some data presented in a condensed form. The data sheets are linked by a reference to the DOP number.
Overall, svt was able to improve data quality with ANTEROS by integrating the object type "systems" and functions such as inheritance and structured parameters, thus making processes more efficient. By setting up the media portal and using automatic print generation, svt can also access product information internally and make it available externally more quickly.
