Challenges of Data Maintenance at TotalEnergies

TotalEnergies uses ANTEROS as the central system for managing and maintaining product data. Once the initial data transfer in Excel format and the regular synchronization of the master data from the ERP system (SAP) have been completed, the employees enrich and maintain the data in ANTEROS in order to prepare it for the various outputs. Organizing the data follows a four-tiered model: 1. categories, 2. product families, 3. products and 4. containers (see screenshot). This allows structured management and consistency of product information.
A central component of data maintenance is the numerous technical details, which ANTEROS manages in a standardized and consistent manner. International specifications, manufacturer approvals and application recommendations are systematically recorded and maintained to ensure data quality. The system also provides the ability to define which information is displayed in catalogs and datasheets, allowing for precise output control.
Automatic Creation of Data Sheets, Catalogs and Labels
The employees use ANTEROS as a maintenance center where all product information is enriched and updated for the automatic generation of print documents. With the ANTEROS.print engine, datasheets, catalogs and labels are generated fully automatically, saving time and reducing errors. Even complex technical data can be processed quickly and accurately.
Service Portal for All Users: Fast Access to the Latest Product Information
The TotalEnergies Service Portal offers all users quick and easy access to the TotalEnergies and Elf branded lubricants catalog without having to register. Although there is no ordering function, the portal provides a comprehensive overview of the product range. It facilitates navigation through various search options such as category tree, tile views, keyword search and advanced search functions.
All relevant information about the products in a category can be viewed at a glance in the product list. Each product has a detail page with comprehensive information on areas of application, international specifications, manufacturer approvals and TotalEnergies recommendations for specific applications. Part numbers for available package sizes are also listed.
The data sheet generation function is particularly convenient: at the touch of a button, a data sheet can be generated for each product, which can be downloaded as a PDF file or printed directly. Favorite products can be saved in a folder, which is retained even when the page is reloaded and can be easily accessed later..


Service-Portal+ for Bottling Partners: Efficient Label Generation on Demand
The Service Portal+ provides TotalEnergies' bottling partners with exclusive access to generate their own product labels. Partners can create up-to-date labels quickly and on demand, with the bottling date being automatically applied as the generation date. Several layouts predefined by TotalEnergies are available. Labels can be printed in-house or through local print partners.
Partners have many options when creating labels, including keyword product search, fill level specification, batch number, number of labels, and bottler ID. These parameters are displayed on the labels and the label type determines the layout.
TotalEnergies retains full control over users and rights by creating user groups and controlling which products are visible to individual partners. A log shows who has created which labels and how many.
The centralized maintenance in ANTEROS makes the processes at TotalEnergies much more efficient.
